In 1968, the founders of Pepe Taco traveled to the top of California in search of the finest Mexican cuisine to bring back to Western Massachusetts. As the Springfield area’s first Mexican restaurant, Pepe Taco brought spice and zest to the area. In 1970, the restaurant’s name was changed from Pepe Taco to Nana’s Kitchen. In 1984, the name was changed to Casa De Nana, “Grandma’s House”, in tribute to one of the restaurant’s original founders. At Casa De Nana, we continue to pride ourselves, using only the freshest ingredients in all of our original recipes since 1968.
Pete started working at Casa De Nana in 1995 and became an intricate part of the restaurant team! His restaurant experience originates in California in the 1980s. He manages, bartends, and is famously known for his margarita mixing. In 2014, he became sole owner and managing partner of Casa De Nana, following in the footsteps of former principal owners Rob Ollari and Jen Lindblad.
